If you think about it, videotapes or VHS and DVD are obsolete. The consumption of media like film, television series and music are done online. There are dozens of online streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. These platforms include thousands of movies, documentaries and television series.

However, there are still thousands of VHS tapes out there. Some are limited editions that there are only a few copies left of. So, if that particular tape is damaged, then that piece of media is gone forever. Unless, that particular tape was converted into a DVD, meaning it can be converted into a media file.

First, insert the videotape into the VCR deck. Converting a video is mostly recording it or making a copy of it in another format. Make sure to rewind the video from the beginning by using the Combo Players features.

Second Step

Insert the blank DVD-R disc to the DVD tray. The recording will automatically transfer to the blank disc. That is why you must have both the tape and the disc in place. Make sure to buy a blank disc that is of good quality and is not damaged at all. A damaged blank disc might not be able to record the media properly.

Third Step

Finally, just hit the record button on the Combo Player and then wait for the video content to finish playing. However, there are still some settings you need to check. You need to make sure the audio setting is correct as well as the visual elements.
